Timing is everything...or is it?

Question: When Is The Best Time to Sell My Home in Seattle?

Is now a good time to sell? Would it be better to wait for summer?

Should I wait until my shrubs and flowers are in bloom?

Is it even possible to sell my house in November or December?

Answer: Now might be a great time to sell! It depends on your market.

Timing when to put your house on the market is really a matter of judging what else is happening in your particular market.

If It’s A Sellers’ Market, Consider Waiting Till Your House Is At Its Best

If it’s a sellers’ market – that means there’s not much available to buyers – then buyers will eagerly respond to you putting your house on the market at any time of year. And this is especially true if it’s in good condition and in a very popular Seattle, WA location such as Ballard, Green Lake, Capitol Hill, or Queen Anne. If you can wait and your location is not as popular, it’s a great idea to put your home on the market when your flowers are in bloom and your garden is at its most lush.

But Selling Your Home During Traditionally “Off” Months Is Easier Than You’d Think

But that said, it seems counter-intuitive but you can actually easily sell your home in November or December in Seattle because there are usually fewer homes on the market then, and buyers who are looking at that time of year are very serious about purchasing before the end of the year.

Want To Do Some Work On Your Home Before You Sell?

Have you been wanting to invest in your garden more before you put your home up for sale? Houzz is a great resource for finding local Seattle landscapers and checking out their portfolios. I can also recommend any of the landscapers listed in my contractor referral directory.
